This is still a work in progress.
he arrival of my very own 3D-printer marks the beginning of a steady development of printable parts for my own Lego trains. There are custom wheels, custom bearings, and even a transmissions.
A train wheel for the Lego system.
I've designed train wheels in various sizes and functions. Sadly, this page is a to-do still.
Bearings for 2mm axles in Lego technic pin holes.
I've designed a set of bearings to hold 2mm axles inside of Lego technic pin holes. These allow using 2mm axles on standard lego design which relied on using cross-axles before. With the benefit of not imposing damage to the bricks, they improve the rolling resistance a couple folds. While being not as good as ball bearings, they can be a good compromise for test vehicles or people not wanting to damage bricks by any means. Further look into the bearings
Cross-axle holders for 2mm axles.
These are adapters for standard Lego wheels to 2mm axles so you can mount them on proper bearings without using third party wheels. Further look into the cross-axle holders
Tools for pressing ball bearings into Lego technic pieces.
These tools help preciesly pressing ball bearings into Lego technic pieces.
A transmission for my Lego locomotive that decouples on high load. More on the transmission for Lego trains
